Holy Week Services

April 11, 2022 by FCCH Staff

During Holy Week, the two churches will share in Maundy Thursday (which remembers both Jesus last Supper and the disciples having their feet washed) and Good Friday services.

The Maundy Thursday service will be held at Pilgrim Church at 7:00 p.m. And, the Noon Good Friday Service will be at First Church. In addition, the First Church sanctuary will remain open from 1-3 p.m. for anyone to hold space and have a time of quiet reflection.

On Easter morning, both churches will take part in a Sunrise Service to be held at the Winstead Inn in Harwich Port at 5:45 a.m. First Church will hold its Easter Worship service at 10:30 a.m.

As Pilgrim’s Interim Minister, the Rev. Helen Nablo observed, “Easter is about new possibilities and new life. It is a new thing — and a much-needed thing — for faith communities to find ways to work together.”
