SUNDAY SCHOOL KICKOFF & BACKPACK BLESSING, SEPT. 25TH

It’s that time of year again- back to school and back to Sunday School at First Church on Sunday, September 25th. We are so pleased that Del Borah has agreed to teach Sunday School again this year as well as having an assistant with him in the Elliot Room classroom. Sunday School is held during the worship service, right after the Kids Message with Pastor Sue. The kids will be learning the “Beatitudes”- the “Blessings” that Jesus taught about during his Sermon on the Mount.

During the Kids Message, Pastor Sue will bless the kids backpacks, lunch boxes, or anything they carry to school as well as our Sunday School teacher and assistants. Each child will be given a small keepsake gift to take with them into this new school year so they will know First Church cares for them and wants to equip them throughout their learning journey.
